The School of Transnational Organizing's community of Berlin-based migrant workers, community organizers, activists, artists, and academics is invited to a community gathering over good food, end-of-year storytelling, and karaoke!

Participants are warmly invited to...

• Add Christmas and Winter songs from all across the world to our »Sound of Resistance« Open Spotify Playlist to be played at the event;
• Contribute soul food from back home to the international buffet made by fellow Berliners from around the world (drinks must be purchased at the Café at your own charge);
• Bring a Secret Santa gift for a stranger from our community (it should not be purchased, but something from your personal possessions that you would like to give as a life companion to another person);
• Share your stories about this year's experiences and victories that we appreciate and want to be celebrated;
• If you like, sing a song at the Karaoke session, be at a Christmas carol, a song from back home which makes you feel you belong, or a powerful resistance evergreen – all under the motto »Sing Your Struggle!«;
• Connect to the many existing political groups and get to know about the ways to get involved here in Berlin;
• Bring family, friends, co-workers, kids... childcare will be provided! The more the merrier!

 

Schedule

• 19:00: Arrival & Welcome

• 19:30 – 20:30: International Potluck Dinner, Secret Santa & Drinks in the Café

• 20:30 – 21:30: Storytelling Session about the experiences and victories that we appreciate and want to be celebrated

• 21:30 – 22:30: Karaoke Session under the motto »Sing Your Struggle!«

• 23:30: Closing, Farewell and Clean-up

Please note: the Childcare Section will be open from 19:00 until 23:00, through advanced registration only.
