Building Translocal Solidarity - New Online Course

European Alternatives is launching Building Translocal Solidarity – A Short Course. The four-part online course will provide insights in how we build solidarity across borders and localities in a context of rising geopolitical tensions, far-right nationalism, an expanding antiqueer agenda, growing state-repression and amidst the ecological crisis.

How can we connect across territories and struggles beyond single-issue fights and national politics? Which processes, stories and methodologies can aid us to foster translocal solidarities and build transnational networks from below?

At what other time than now, is it more important to build companionship across borders and bridges across allies. When, if not now, should we engage in unlikely partnerships and strategize collectively, as we build the alternatives that we desire. We believe in the power of communities and their ability to identify and address the challenges they face. We believe in the power of education and learning to further our objectives and causes.

Therefore, we are launching Building Translocal Solidarity – A Short Course.

We know you are involved in a lot of important work. With this course we are hoping to contribute to your vision and strategic foresight with a four-week, self-paced course.

How does it work?

The set up is simple: We will email you on Monday’s for four weeks in a row and provide you with stories, tools, methodologies and insights that can benefit your political work, organizing, activism, campaigning or simply activate your curiosity.

The course material will include: podcasts, videos and short exercises that you can complete in your own time or savor for a later moment and run them within your group or organization.

If you are wondering how to fully realize the potential of our translocal and transnational solidarities, then this course is a really powerful opportunity.
